C: In true BFF style, Rach and I have moved in together for our last year of uni… And have decided to blog about it!
R: So we moved into our new house back in July, and we have 3 other housemates, who all study English.
(C: Rach is the odd one out in that she studies publishing (and this means she actually has work to do!))
I moved in first and was alone in the house for the best part of 2 months as it was summer, and everyone was off doing various things (I had to be here for work). Moving day for me took 3 car trips from my old house down the road to the new one, and the heat wave didn’t help!
C: I moved in eventually, and we spent a weekend organising my room and the kitchen. In order to pretend I’m tidy, I’ve basically gone for the ‘hide everything in drawers method’ of minimalism, whereas Rachael has gone for the ‘bomb’s gone off but idc vibes’.
R: However we can scrub them up when we want to! (C: or use ‘creative’ camera angles…)
R: I have this issue where my room looks like a mess a lot of the time, just because of the number of books I own, but also because I’m a writer and I have scraps of paper covered in scribbles everywhere. (C: fair enough! My room is all camera gear and photography stuff :P)
C: I prefer to aim for minimalist white vibes as it helps me when I edit so my room is mainly white and light blue!
R: My room is very much a reflection of my favourite aesthetic, wood cabin, so tartan and greenery.
